Big thanks to Jullian Woods for photography!

Cakes + Succulents

I had the pleasure of working closely with Dawn & Melina of DM Events to create the most stunning gluten-free wedding cakes for their clients, Amanda & Mike. Kicking off fall, Amanda & Mike went with apple slice cake & carmel buttercream. The two companion cakes were lemon cake with lavender-rosemary buttercream. Both, scrumptious flavors! The wedding was held at the Metropolitan Building in LIC. The long ,family style table settings were dripping with greens and succulents. So, I only thought it appropriate to do the same with the cakes. Voila!

Dominique & Billy's Wedding

Here is a sneak peek of a dessert table Lael Cakes did in The Stable at Frankies, Brooklyn this past weekend. The inspiration was based upon vintage circus with feminine touches. More pictures of the entire dessert table to come!

Naomi & Rachel

Last month I was given the opportunity to help Naomi and Rachel's dream engagement shoot come to life! We started out at Jen Huang's studio for the breakfast section of the shoot where lemon tarts, strawberry macaroons, coconut petit fours, and a decadent fruit bowl filled the air.

They were such a delightful couple to work with!

Jen and the dynamic duo then headed to Coney Island to capture more of their romance.

Jen constructed such astounding shots by capturing each delicate moment between Naomi and Rachel.

Martha Stewart Shoot

I am incredibly delighted to share this blissful shoot with you!

Martha Stewart Weddings recently featured cakes I created reflecting my inspirations from Martha's peaches and cream palette. Each of these designs were fabricated in unique methods -- combing different approaches to sugar sculpture and pastry application. While each have their own place as individuals, as a trifecta I think they have an incredible way of tying together the same theme and aesthetic! As an added bonus: I had the honor, once again, to work with the darling and most talented Jen Huang and Poppies & Posies. Big thanks to all the contributing help!
